Izakaya Ichiban was established by Mr Koichi Ono who has great passion for food and adventurous in many exotic and traditional Japanese dishes. He created Izakaya Ichiban with one purpose in mind – to provide reasonable priced food at an Izakaya restaurant.

What is Izakaya? An Izakaya is a common Japanese bar/restaurant that is often found in cosmopolitan areas for after work relaxation and an opportunity to unwind after a busy day. In Japan, Izakaya style restaurant are casual places where one can find many small dishes. In this way, a person can try many different foods without filling up on one dish. Due to the informal atmosphere, instead of ordering and eating individual platters, customers usually share all dishes with one another. The ability to share food among your party is what makes the Izakaya experience truly unique.

We have an exciting menu and we hope that you try different things when you come in and be adventurous in your choices. We offer many exotic and authentic items that you will not find anywhere else and we hope you will appreciate them. We serve fresh ingredients and authentic Japanese dishes found in Japan.

At Izakaya Ichiban we have a multi faceted menu and offer many types of food such as sashimi, handrolls, maki sushi, otsumami, agemono, yakimono, kushiyaki, kushiage, nabemono, gohan mono and ramen. Special and Weekly Chef”s recommendations are also available for those who prefer not to choose from the menu.

Izakaya Ichiban Restaurant has come up with the Combination Set Lunch which is a popular daily lunch bento. Customers can relish in their custom made set lunch menu by selecting their favourite dishes from the menu provided prices ranging from RM18++ to RM33++ per bento.

Specialities of the house are Wagyu Saikoro , Wagyu Don, Tempura Maki and Kaki Mayo Yaki, Nabe, Yakitori, all appetizing dishes which go well with the alcohol served such as beer, sake, shochu.
